The Redbridge Town Show

For quite some years the Society has taken part in the Redbridge town show in an attempt to promote the hobby in the local area. This year may have been our last visit because the organisation of the event is going from bad to worse - and the cost is OTT for a non profit making club. We get by selling Hostas grown by our Chairman (Mike Shadrack), lilies and marginal plants bought on sale or return, our own surplus pond plants (though it really is too early in the year to have much) and cheap bedding plants. Here are a few photos of our last effort.

The pond was made from 4 scaffold boards, a few wooden tent pegs and an old liner. Ideal as a temporary holding pond while you clean out your main pond.
